  • Batteries, cigarette smoke, motor oil, paint, pesticides, refined grains, rubber carpet backing, tires, processed meat, evaporated milk, all are cadmium sources.
  • Adhesives, air conditioner filters, cosmetics, dental fillings, fabric softeners, cereals, body powders, sea food, medications are common sources of mercury.
  • Nickel is found in fertilizers, butter, stainless steel cookware, tea, vegetable shortening, hydrogenated fats and oils, and imitation whipped cream.
  • Aluminum is found in aluminum foil, animal feed, aspirin, baking powder, drinking water, salt, toothpaste, vanilla, deodorants, cans, beer, and cheese.
  • There is arsenic in insect sprays, coal combustion, treated wood and lumber products.

Having Trouble Losing Weight?

Did you know that most diets will work….while you’re on them.  The trouble begins once you’re off of the diet and eating normally.  That’s when the pounds and inches return.  It’s a very frustrating process that many of us go through.  It’s a roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain over and over.  And it seems that the weight gain is always greater than the weight loss.

Are you ready to get off that roller coaster?  Ready to have permanent results?

There is a reason that most diets do not have long-term results.  Diets and exercise alone aren’t enough.  If you only approach weight loss from a physical standpoint, you are missing an important element – the mind.  In the part of the mind that we call the unconscious, there are programs that run you.  These programs are formed from your individual experiences, background, exposure and understanding.  They are there for your protection.  So each individual has their own unique set of programs that are running them.

For someone who needs to lose weight, there is a program that says it’s appropriate for that person to be this weight and size right now.  The reason that program is there differs from person to person.  When you can access that program and change it, then weight loss can be permanent.  That’s where HYPNOTHERAPY comes in.

Using HYPNOTHERAPY can put an end to the roller coaster wieght loss ride once and for all.  Don’t hesitate.  If you are serious about losing weight, let me help you.  Together, we can make a huge difference in your health and well being.

Are you afraid of the dentist?

The sound of the drill, the smell of the office, the possible pain….these are some of the things that keep people away from the dentist.  Having regular dental check ups is very important to one’s health.  Dental hygiene is as important as any other personal hygiene.  When you have proper dental care, it affects not only your appearance, but your overall health and well being.

Many people find themselves putting off going to the dentist because of fear.  However, dental problems don’t get better by ignoring them and hoping they go away.  Usually, they just get worse, more costly, and more painful.  Also, the procedures can be much more extensive.

Hypnotherapy is used world-wide as a way for people to overcome their fear of going to the dentist.  It is safe.  It is quick.  It is effective.  And it doesn’t have any risk of side affects like sedation does.  To put it simply…it works!

Many people have found that after just one hypnotherapy session, their fears were completely eliminated.  One client said, “I don’t understand it, but now I look forward to going to the dentist.  It’s wierd, but I like going there now.”  Another client said,  “I had put off going to the dentist for many years.  I had a mouth-full of problems, but I just hated going to the dentist so much that I would break into a sweat just thinking about it.  After just one hypnotherapy session, I completely changed.  Now the dentist and I are good friends.  My teeth don’t hurt, and I feel so much better about me.”

Many dentists recommend hypnotherapy as a means to relax during dental procedures.  It makes working in the mouth so much easier, faster, and more effecient if the person is relaxed and cooperative.

Unlike sedation, a person who uses hypnotherapy doesn’t have to feel drugged afterward.  They can walk out of the dentist’s office feeling like themselves right away, getting on with their day immediately.

All in all, hypnotherapy is a good choice for people with any kind of fear, but especially fear of going to the dentist.

Toxins can destroy our health

November 8, 2010 by

Each and every one of us is being exposed to thousands of toxic chemicals and metals.  They are everywhere.  Just by breathing, eating, bathing, drinking water, using cleaning products, skin and hair care products, and taking medication, our bodies are bombarded with toxins.  Every day we are exposed repeatedly to toxins in common forms like breakfast cereal, toothpaste, drinking hot coffee or tea in a glazed mug, (there could be lead in the glaze),  soap, shampoo, deodorant, hair dye, newspapers, magazines, dry cleaning, new carpets, and freshly painted walls.

Right now, because of this constant exposure, our bodies are having to store these harmful toxins.  Studies show that between 400 and 800 toxins are being stored in our bodies because we are accumulating them faster than our bodies can process and get rid of them. Every person alive, no matter where on the globe they live, is carrying an overload of toxins in the body.

So, what do they do to us?  Well, toxins accumulate in the fat cells, joints, and major organs such as the liver, kidneys, and brain, in our thyroid and adrenals, in our lymph system, and throughout our nervous system.  They make us sick!

So symptoms, then, can begin with aches and pains and stiffness in the joints, fatigue, lack of energy, foggy thinking, headaches, rashes, allergic reactions, digestive problems, elimination problems, loss of enthusiasm for life, and develop into even more severe problems. Toxic chemicals can cause a long list of health issues. Over-exposure to carcinogens can cause cancer.  Other chemicals can cause birth defects, developmental problems to the fetus, and hormonal dysfunction.  High blood pressure, asthma, peripheral nerve damage, immune system dysfunction, deficiencies in brain functions, including memory, attention, IQ, and learning have all been associated with toxic exposure.

Some toxic compounds are eliminated quickly from our bodies, while others can stay for years.  Some stay in our bodies for a lifetime.  Arsenic, for example, is excreted from the body within about 72 hours of exposure.  Other chemicals, like DDT, remain in the body for 50 years or more.

Limiting your exposure to toxic compounds will go a long way in protecting yourself from the harmful effects of toxins.  Organic produce and fabrics, filtered water, PBA-free plastic water bottles, air purifiers, and other available products will assist you in limiting your exposure.  Changes in your diet, exercise, and lifestyle can also reduce your toxic intake.

Along with prevention, there are ways to eliminate toxins that are in the body.  There are chelation treatments to help the body get rid of metal toxicity.  These haven’t proved very effective in children, however.

There is another way to help the body eliminate those toxins.  Through treatments called ionic footbath detoxification, toxins are removed from the body.  The treatments are simple and pleasant and quick.  You simply put your feet in warm water for about 20 minutes and at the end of the treatment, the water is a yucky color of brown with floaty stuff on top.

The doctors who developed this process recommend that a series of treatments be done in order to clean out the various systems of harmful toxins.  A series of 10-12 treatments once a year will give your body a much needed boost in dealing with the constant exposure to harmful toxins.

Hypnotherapy helps with insomnia

October 20, 2010 by

If you aren’t getting a good night’s sleep, you aren’t alone. According to the National Institute of Health, 60 million adults in the United States suffer from insomnia. There is a rise of insomnia among teenagers, too.
Insomnia, by itself, is not a disease. It may be a symptom of physical and emotional imbalance. Some of the symptoms include:
• Difficulty falling asleep
• Difficulty staying asleep
• Waking up too early in the morning
• Restless sleep
When sleep doesn’t come as naturally as it once did, it can be frustrating. Sleep depravation over a period of time can cause serious problems. Many times people find themselves in a downward spiral trying to figure out why they can’t sleep, and being focused on not sleeping causes them to be awake more, feeling even more frustrated.

Many people turn to prescription medications. These often come with undesirable side effects which range from morning grogginess to serious problems like vomiting and even seizures. There’s also the risk of drug dependence.

An alternative solution is the use of hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is gaining popularity as a tool to deal with insomnia without invading the body and without the risk of adverse side effects. Because insomnia is often caused by stress, hypnotherapy is especially effective in learning relaxation techniques. If the cause is deeper, hypnotherapy goes right to the deep part of the mind to correct the problem at its source.

Through hypnotherapy, you can once again experience the natural act of falling asleep, staying asleep, and getting the restorative rest that you need, waking up refreshed and energetic. It’s quick. It’s safe. And it’s very effective.
